Get certified to coach pickleball.

Our flagship program. A certification that teaches trainers to coach pickleball players with a real, tested curriculum, including live trainings. The first cohort is forming now.

The certification

Coach with a system, not a guess

We are personal trainers who built and tested a pickleball curriculum with real players. The certification turns that curriculum into something you can teach and stand behind.

A real, tested curriculum

The same system we use with players, organized into a coaching framework you can teach: movement, strength, conditioning, and injury prevention, and how to program a player's progress.

Live trainings

The certification includes live sessions with the founders, not just recorded modules. You practice coaching it, get feedback, and leave able to run it.

Built for trainers

For personal trainers and serious players who want to coach pickleball with structure instead of winging it. You bring the people skills, we bring the system.

Inside the curriculum

Three parts. Every one of them examinable.

This is not a weekend workshop with a certificate at the end. It is a full manual: every protocol scripted, every coaching scenario worked through, every business mechanic explained with real numbers. Here is the shape of it.

Part I
The Method

Master the system before you teach it. Eight modules, starting with a full movement assessment: a scored screen that tells you exactly where a player's risk sits before you write a single rep.

  • The Assessment
  • Footwork and Movement
  • Strength for the Stop-Start Game
  • The Upper Body That Survives
  • Conditioning the Engine
  • Mobility That Sticks
  • Recovery and Durability
  • Fueling and Performance Nutrition

Inside: the exact eccentric-loading protocol behind the sport's single most preventable injury, dosed by the assessment score, not guessed at.

Part II
The Coach

The half nobody else certifies. Coaching people is a skill, and it is examinable: real cueing frameworks, scripted scenarios, and the psychology of the demographic that fills most pickleball courts.

  • Programming the Client Journey
  • Coaching the Session
  • The 50+ Athlete
  • Mindset and Adherence
  • Communication and the Relationship
  • Group and Clinic Formats

Inside: the two-cue rule, and a full scripted playbook for coaching the 50-plus athlete through the fear that usually ends their training before it starts.

Part III
The Business

A credential that pays you back. How to find clients, how the trainer network sends them to you, and exactly how the numbers work once they arrive.

  • Scope, Safety, and Standards
  • The Client-Acquisition Playbook
  • The Network

Inside: real outreach templates you can send the day you certify, and a worked example of exactly how a network-routed session turns into your paycheck.

The opportunity

The demand is already sitting in your gym.

Every trainer with pickleball clients is already fielding the same questions: why does my Achilles hurt, why can I not get to the ball in time, how do I keep playing at 60. Those are training questions, and right now almost nobody in the sport is credentialed to answer them.

69%

of pickleball players reported an injury in the past year, most of it lower-body and preventable.

2025 survey of 1,758 players

90%

of emergency-room pickleball injuries happen to players 50 and older, exactly the client base most trainers already coach.

10-year national ED study

44% → 25%

the drop in fall risk that structured training programs produce in older adults. This is not a hunch. It is proven, and almost nobody delivers it inside pickleball.

Structured-training fall-risk research

PPR, IPTPA, and every other pickleball certification teach shot mechanics: grips, dinking patterns, where to stand. None of them teach the body that plays the game. That gap is the entire certification, and right now it has exactly one company standing in it.

Why now

The category is still being defined. That will not last.

Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the country, and the money has noticed: Apollo-backed and Dundon-led investors put $225M into the professional tours this year at a valuation near $750M. The technique-certification side is proving out too, with the leading credential growing about 50% in a single year. None of that capital has gone toward the athletic side of the game. That is the opening.

Every fast-growing sport eventually gets its recognized performance standard. The trainers who certify while that standard is still being written are the ones who define it. The trainers who wait get to follow it instead, once someone else already owns the name for it.

The window is open, not permanent

No incumbent means no competition for the credential today. It will not stay that way once the category matures.

Early carries real weight

Founding-cohort trainers are the first certified names in a category everyone will eventually need to hire from.

The wait has a cost

The players filling courts right now are already asking these training questions. Every month without an answer is a client someone else eventually keeps.

Where it leads

The certification is a door. Clients are on the other side.

Most certifications end with a certificate. This one is designed to end with a business: certified trainers join the PCKL Lab network, and as it opens, players who come to us looking for live coaching get matched to a certified trainer near them or online.

We send you clients

Players reach PCKL Lab through the courses and content. The ones who want a live coach get introduced to network trainers, starting personally with the first cohort.

You keep the majority

You deliver the sessions and keep the large majority of what you earn. The split is set out plainly in the trainer agreement, and it only applies to clients we send.

You carry the brand

Coach 1:1, run PCKL Lab format clinics, and market yourself with the movement-specialist pickleball credential behind you.

Be first in line

Join the certification waitlist

The founding cohort stays small: the practicals are run live with the founders. Get on the list and you will be the first to hear when dates, pricing, and live training details are set.

$187 for founding waitlist members.

$299 when the first cohort opens.

No spam, ever. We will only email you about the certification.
